middle of the night entertainment

It's 4:30am. I have been awake on and off all night. I'm extremely sick, and I can't fall asleep. I'm bored and have already pinned like 30 things on Pinterest. So now I'm here. I have nothing important or interesting to say, just trying to keep myself entertained. I'm extremely hungry and thirsty but cannot have anything unless I want to throw it all back up in an hour. I don't think I have ever craved a chocolate milkshake more in my life. I was going to beg someone to bring me one on twitter but I tried that with grilled cheese before and nobody responded. And it's 4:30 on a Sunday morning. Tonight I also realized how much more comfortable my mattress at school was compared to at home. I'm going to miss that mattress. I have nothing else to talk about so I guess I will go back to Pinterest now. Thanks for reading the most useless, uneventful post ever. I will keep you update on the milkshake and food situation.

friendship

This week I got to go up north to my friend's cabin on Gull Lake. It was so much fun having a mini vacation and getting an opportunity to catch up with my best friend, the Sexy Six. One of the biggest mistakes I make when I am at school is not keeping up with my friends at home. I am so grateful that when we do have the opportunity to spend time together it's like we were never apart. I have known these girls for about 6 years now, and I cannot imagine life without them. This vacation was so much fun getting to catch up, tan, watch movies, and just hang out. Even just laying on the floor w/ a food baby is fun when I am with my sexy six! My fingers are crossed that this summer is filled with many more days just like the few I got to spend with my best friends up north.

Also: Catherine, I hope you have an amazing time at Disney World. You are going to have such a great experience and make so many new friends!!! This is such a perfect opportunity for you; I couldn't imagine anyone else in your place! I cannot wait to come visit you and please don't forget to keep an eye out for my Prince Charming ;) haha!

Last night one of the coolest things happened. I was at my grandma's house, hanging out with my cousins. One of my cousins is 12 years old and known for being loud, crazy, athletic, and dirty - yet lately he has been really into making videos. I had seen some of his first videos which were just about gaming and other kid stuff, but tonight he showed me a new video. It was a really well-made, totally awesome stop motion video. I was so impressed that he made it, let alone even knew what stop motion is!

After he showed everyone his video, my sister asked him if that is what he wanted to do when he was older. Words cannot describe the look on his face; it was like it just clicked that he could actually make videos for the rest of his life, and get paid to do something he loved. I do not think I have ever seen anyone look so happy or excited or passionate about anything. It is amazing at 12 years old he has already figured out what he wants to do with his life; something that excites him, and that he is really good at. I am 20 and I don't know if I have found that yet.

Anyways, here is his video if you want to check it out. Let me know what you think.
(P.S. The toy he used was one of my favorites growing up and has survived 5 decades of children!)
